Subscription Terms and Conditions

Milenio Diario Subscriptions

The following General Terms and Conditions apply to the contracting of print + digital subscriptions of Milenio Diario, offered directly through the website milenio.com.

The print + digital subscription service of Milenio Diario may only be contracted by individuals who are at least 18 years of age.

The User may subscribe to the print + digital service of Milenio Diario through the website https://milenio.com/suscripciones-milenio, after completing the required registration process and accepting our Privacy Policy available at https://www.milenio.com/aviso-de-privacidad. Upon registration, the User must complete the subscription form and make the corresponding payment, as well as check the box indicating that they have read and understood these General Terms and Conditions. If the payment is successful, the User —now Subscriber— will receive an email notification confirming the successful purchase.

The contracting of the print + digital subscription service does not grant any intellectual or industrial property rights, nor rights of reproduction or commercialization of content. The contracted service grants access solely for the purpose of consultation and reading of news, entertainment, and editorial materials.

Payment Method

For the contracting of print + digital subscriptions of Milenio Diario through the website milenio.com, the accepted payment methods are debit or credit cards from any bank (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express).

Milenio.com uses the payment gateway provided by Stripe (the “Payment Gateway”) to process subscription payments made through the site https://milenio.com/suscripciones-milenio. For such purposes, Stripe will collect the information necessary to process said payments.

The services provided by the Payment Gateway shall be governed by its own Terms of Use, which may be consulted at: https://stripe.com/es-us/legal/consumer . Your personal data will be processed by the Payment Gateway in accordance with its Privacy Policy, which may be consulted at: https://stripe.com/es-us/privacy. You hereby release Milenio.com from any liability arising from failures or omissions that may occur in the operation of the Payment Gateway.

Prices

The subscription prices are subject to change without prior notice.

Should such changes occur, subscribers will be notified via email sent to the address provided at the time of purchase, through the website www.milenio.com, or by telephone. Said communication will be issued at least thirty (30) calendar days prior to the effective date of the change. The Subscriber shall have the right to cancel the subscription without any penalty and/or request non-renewal upon the expiration of the current subscription period.

Subscription Conditions, Validity, and Renewals

The print + digital subscriptions of Milenio Diario are subject to recurring charges, which will be applied automatically at the end of each contracted period, using the same payment method originally provided by the Subscriber.

The transaction will be processed through Stripe, the designated payment gateway. If the charge is successful, the Subscriber’s bank statement will reflect the transaction under one of the following descriptors: “Stripe,” “Ccu Milenio,” or “Milenio.”

The Subscriber will receive a notification confirming the successful automatic renewal and the new validity period of the service. In the event that the renewal charge is unsuccessful, the Subscriber will be notified accordingly. Possible reasons for a failed renewal include, but are not limited to: expired card, insufficient funds, bank blockage, or a reported stolen card. The Subscriber should contact their bank and may proceed to purchase a new subscription.

Cancellations and Refunds

The User may cancel the services at any time by sending an email containing their personal details to suscripciones@milenio.com, by sending a WhatsApp message to 55 8413 1010, or by calling 800 200 6453.

No refunds shall be issued for payments already made; however, the Subscriber will continue to have access to the services for the entire period already paid for. Once the contracted period has ended, the subscription will be considered canceled.

The print + digital subscription to Milenio Diario may also be canceled by Milenio Diario if the Subscriber makes improper or unauthorized use of the service. In such cases, Milenio Diario reserves the right to terminate the subscription, and no refunds shall be granted.

Home Delivery Service

Once payment has been confirmed, the Subscriber will begin receiving the printed edition within 24 to 48 hours after purchase, provided that delivery is feasible and within the coverage area.

Deliveries are made Monday through Saturday, between 6:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., to the address provided by the Subscriber.

If a copy is not delivered, the Subscriber must notify the Customer Service Center by calling 800 200 6453 or sending a WhatsApp message to 55 8413 1010 in order to verify the issue and arrange for a replacement delivery date.

Delivery Area

The delivery service for the subscription is subject to prior verification, including the delivery method and feasibility of distribution in the area requested by the Subscriber. This verification will be carried out within no more than 24 hours from the time the subscription request is submitted. During this verification, the following may be assessed, among other factors: (i) whether the address is located outside the delivery zone; (ii) accessibility of the location; or (iii) impossibility of delivery due to weather or climatic conditions.

If, for any reason, delivery service is no longer available in the Subscriber’s area, Milenio Diario will contact the Subscriber to request an alternative address or, if not possible, proceed with the cancellation of the subscription and refund for the remaining undelivered days.

Changes or Updates to Subscriptions

The Subscriber may request changes to the delivery address (subject to coverage and feasibility), type of subscription, and/or payment method by contacting customer service via WhatsApp (55 1384 1010 / 800 200 6453) or by email at suscripciones@milenio.com at least seven (7) business days prior to the expiration of the current subscription period. Any requested modification will take effect only after confirmation by Milenio Diario and within a period not exceeding four (4) business days from said confirmation.

Billing

Milenio Diario will issue electronic payment receipts corresponding to the subscription purchased. If an invoice is required, it can only be issued at the time of purchase by selecting the invoicing option. This is the only opportunity to request an invoice. Milenio Diario shall not be held responsible for any errors in the invoice. If the subscription was purchased via telephone, WhatsApp, or email, the Subscriber may request the invoice at the time of purchase, as it cannot be issued afterward.

Account Restrictions

The Subscriber will have a unique account and password to access the digital subscription service, which may not be shared with any third party. In the event that Milenio Diario detects that the Subscriber has shared their account credentials — including username and password — access to the service may be canceled and/or suspended.

Modification of Terms and Conditions

Milenio Diario reserves the right to modify, update, or expand these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice, with such modifications taking effect upon publication on the Milenio website (www.milenio.com). Any modification, update, or expansion will be published immediately, and it is the responsibility of the User to review the current Terms and Conditions at the time of navigation and subscription. Additionally, if deemed appropriate, Milenio Diario may notify subscribers of any modifications, updates, or expansions via email. If the Subscriber does not agree with the changes to the Terms and Conditions, they may opt to cancel their subscription, in which case Milenio Diario will not apply any penalties and will refund the proportional amount corresponding to the remaining subscription period.

Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

By subscribing to or using the services provided by Milenio Diario through the website www.milenio.com, the User or Subscriber acknowledges that they have read, understood, and expressly accepted the terms and conditions set forth in this document. If the User does not agree with these terms, they must not provide any personal information, subscribe, or use the services offered by Milenio Diario. In this regard, if the User or Subscriber does not express their opposition to these Terms and Conditions, it will be understood that they agree and acknowledge each and every provision herein.

Promotions

Promotions may be modified without prior notice and will apply only if they are indicated as active on the website https://www.milenio.com/suscripciones-milenio

Promotions Offering Complimentary or Single/Double Passes:

Promotions granted by Milenio Diario to active subscribers are conducted through commercial partnerships. Therefore, Milenio Diario is not responsible for any issues arising from such promotions.

The promotion is for the exclusive use of the Subscriber who received the single pass or courtesy, and for any companion designated by the Subscriber in the case of a double pass. Under no circumstances shall promotions, passes, or courtesies be transferable or negotiable.

Promotion delivery is carried out at the facilities of Grupo Milenio in each city where the newspaper has presence (Mexico City, Nuevo León, Jalisco, Toluca, Puebla, Pachuca, Laguna, Tamaulipas, and León). The Subscriber must present valid official identification for access. The last day to claim the promotion is the day of the scheduled event.

Promotions are provided to Subscribers presenting their official identification. If the Subscriber cannot attend to receive the promotion, another person may do so, provided they present valid official identification along with a copy of the Subscriber’s identification containing the following statement: "I authorize Milenio Diario to deliver my promotion to: (full name of the attending person)" This authorization must be signed and dated.

Each promotion has a validity period established by Milenio Diario, which reserves the right to change the validity without prior notice or until supplies last. Milenio Diario is not obliged to replace or exchange promotions or passes if the Subscriber fails to attend the event. The courtesy does not include transportation, food, or beverages.

Privacy Policy

By acquiring any of the services offered directly on the website milenio.com, the User agrees that the personal data provided at the time of registration, or any other data provided for access to the services, may be stored for the purpose of providing the requested services, for proper identification as a user, for conducting statistical studies of registered users to improve services, for basic administrative tasks, and to keep the User informed, either via email or other means, of news, products, and services related to Milenio Diario or third parties. The User also consents to their data being shared among other subsidiaries of Grupo Milenio. 

Grupo Milenio commits to keeping personal data confidential and will take the necessary technical and security measures to prevent loss or unauthorized use. The User is responsible, in all cases, for the accuracy of the information provided, and Grupo Milenio reserves the right to terminate its relationship with Users who provide false information, without prejudice to any other actions applicable for submitting false data. Any registered User may at any time exercise the right to access, rectify, or cancel their personal data by submitting a written request to Grupo Milenio at the email address datospersonales@milenio.com, or by written notice to Morelos No. 16, Col. Centro, C.P. 06040, Mexico City, addressed to the Personal Data Department, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Grupo Milenio commits not to transfer personal data without consent, except when necessary to:

Comply with the law or legal process

Protect and defend the rights and property of Grupo Milenio

Protect against misuse or unauthorized use of its websites

Ensure personal safety or the property of the User or other users of Grupo Milenio services

These transfers will also comply with Article 37 of the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, and will be conducted in accordance with the terms established by the law.
