Birdman continúa arrasando con las nominaciones en las premiaciones que reconocen a lo mejor del cine año con año. En esta ocasión, la cinta dirigida por el mexicano Alejandro González Iñárritu encabeza las candidaturas de los London Critics' Circle Film Awards, al competir en siete categorías.
La cinta compite como Mejor Película, Michael Keaton aspira a convertirse en el Mejor Actor de la ceremonia, así como Edward Norton y Emma Stone competirán por ser Mejor Actor y Actriz de Reparto, respectivamente. Igualmente, Iñárritu está nominado por Mejor Dirección y el también mexicano Emmanuel Lubezki disputa el premio a Mejor Fotografía.
Por debajo de 'Birdman', se ubica 'Mr. Turner', de Mike Leigh, con seis nominaciones en las categorías de Mejor Película, Mejor Película Británica, Mejor Actor y Actor Británico (Timothy Spall), Mejor Actriz de Reparto (Marion Bailey) y Mejor Dirección.
Quien también destaca es Julianne Moore, nominada nuevamente por partida doble como Mejor Actriz por 'Maps to the Stars' y 'Still Alice'.
